Dance Your way to the Bachata Beat
Learn how to Bachata dance and expand your social circle at the same time at at Zack's Dance Loft weekly happy hour. Teacher Zack will conduct a lesson for complete beginner dancers. After the lesson, socialize and practice with Zack and your fellow students for one hour while enjoying wine and spirits.
The Dance
The dance is a four-step beat achieved with a walking Cuban hip motion, and a unique “pop”. The dance is performed both in open position and in closed position depending on the setting and mood of the partners. Bachata, is a romantic style of dance originated in the Dominican Republic, and became popular in NYC in recent years. This partner dance is sexy, playful, and surprisingly easy. More nightclubs and social dance events are playing it, and therefore more people learning it. At this class you will learn the basic step, hip isolation and “popping”, turns, proper body positioning, and a solid routine of moves to take to the clubs. It is easy, fun and sexy!!!
The Event
At this event there will be a 90 minuets dance class. Complimentary wine and spirits will be available while you are socializing and practicing. Beginners and intermediate dancers are welcome, and you don't need a partner. Zack, who was featured as "Best of NY" by New York magazine, will guide you step by step as you dance to the energetic rhythm of the beats.
The Classes
These classes are designed for the beginners and intermediate. At these classes you will learn new moves, techniques, and complete beginner level chirographies, which will help you to develop different skills. Most important, no commitment to a fixed schedule is necessary. Each class is designed to allow you to get a taste of the dance in a beautiful studio with a fun atmosphere.
