Private Classes Students Testimonials
The following are some comments from our students.

Zack Engle welcomes you to his studio with a friendly, warm smile.  His easy going manner is disarming and helps you to relax and be less self conscious as you learn.  I went to Zack's to learn to salsa.  I always thought of myself as a good dancer, but struggled with salsa.  Zack's patience and easy-to-comprehend instructions had me doing the salsa in just a few lessons.   The studio open and airy; a great space to dance or to party.  I always felt so comfortable there.  Another bonus with Zack is once you're a student, you're a friend.   I plan to go back for more lessons soon.

Hi to New York Magazine,
I followed your recommendation and took dance lessons from Zack Engel Zack's Dance Loft. He is an excellent teacher, very patient, very encouraging and very talented. He has anew studio which is larger that the older one and very well decorated.

I have found Zack to be exceedingly easy to deal with in arranging lessons and having to reschedule them if necessary. Sometimes one falls ill or has to work late and Zack is always understanding. Unlike other studios, he is very accommodating. The private lessons are really private and Zack gives you his fall attention. There are no distracting other lessons (or loud music!) going on while you are having your private dance lesson. After I had my lessons I accidentally found out that my good friend had taken lessons from Zack also. We both love to dance and were delighted that we had learned so well. Please contact me if you need further information. Definitely rate Zack the Best!

When I was a teenager, I loved rock and roll and spent most of my weekends going to concerts at the Ritz. Of course, this mortified my Puerto Rican family who hoped that I would embrace my heritage and immerse myself in Latin music and a passion for Salsa. Well, I still love rock and roll, but now that i am older and wiser, I have room in my life for many new experiences.
When I decided that I wanted to learn how to salsa, Zack's Dance Loft was the perfect choice for me. I am a busy lawyer and I did not have the time or the patience for a rigid group class setting at a traditional ballroom studio.

Zack teaches you one on one in a laid back and encouraging atmosphere. He shares his love and passion for salsa so easily that even the most awkward dancer feels comfortable and learns quickly. Zack manages to make the experience fun, without the pressure of competition from other classmates or the focus on your inability to achieve dance perfection that you are likely to experience at other traditional studios.

I absolutely loved getting in touch with a part of my heritage with Zack's help and I continue to visit the studio and go to events there even when I am not taking lessons. If you are thinking about taking salsa lessons, don't think too hard, just come by the studio. You will not regret it!

StudentSuresh I am the perfect example of a man born with “two left feet”. No matter how many times I watched or practiced salsa I didn’t improve and actually gave up. However, after a conversation with Zack, and listening to one of those speeches that he can help anyone, I decided to take one more shot at it. After my first lesson, I actually felt it was possible that I can learn this stuff. Plus I had so much fun, my lessons didn’t feel like lessons. After a few lessons, I was actually able to discern the different salsa dance beats and feel comfortable on the dance floor. Right now, I might not be a professional dancer but I definitely feel confident dancing in any salsa club.
